    Hi guys,

I have owned two newer Cj7s in the past and sold them. I have regretted it every time, never again.
I have always been interested in the CJ5 body style. I have been saving for a while and saw this remarkably stock Plum 1974 Cj5 Renagade with the 304 V8!. I think it has the T15 as it is a 3 speed, and I forgot to look but it should have the rear dana 44, right?

I love the patina, some rust, frame is solid. I'll need to weld in a few patches here and there.

First issues are I'll need to replace the front wheel cylinders, it pulls hard to the left.
No tail lights, so Im sure there are electrical gremlins. Has a small exhust leak at the manifold, but engine purrrs.

I got here for $2200, shipped from two hrs away. Good deal?

    Ill try to attach pictures.

I'll probably be reading a lot of stuff here, If you guys have any advice or suggestions I don't know much about the orphan year CJs.

    Im so excited.

Thanks, yes I noticed that the badges, (called ornamentation by Jeep) are intact. The Cj5 emblem on the gril, and the V8
on the drivers side above the embosed "Jeep" are present.

Mine is a 75. Yours looks pretty original cept the front bumper. Nice find. I paid $5000 for mine, but it was garage stored and only had 13,600 or so original miles.

You got a great deal. I have a 73 304 3spd and I paid a little over 4k for mine with 71k original miles and no rust on frame or tub. Think you got a good deal. Looks just like mine on the inside. Does the speedo work, heat, etc?
