  1. Off craigslist, for $200.00  Seemed solid enough & not beat up too bad...here's the link to craigslist but I don't know how long it will stay up on their site... http://sacramento.craigslist.org/for/4224308577.html I told the lady that all I could afford was $200 & she said she could work with that...;) Her husband even said he'd deliver it tomorrow morning, because I'm not yet set up to tow... here's a pic I snagged off craigs...

I was so jazzed, I stopped & got some beer on the way home...
From what I understand, they just bought the house in a foreclosure sale & just moved down from McCloud Ca. their HOA doesn't permit trailers & such & they were anxious to get rid of it... The only thing that I didn't like was the extended tongue, but that can be easily fixed with my handy/dandy little Lincoln wire feed...now to figure out how to pay the other bills I have...

ETA: The picture does it no justice at all....;)

That is a great trailer in very good condition. I think you will be very happy with it.

  3. I have no doubt I'll be happy with it....;)...I just have a hard time believing I picked it up so cheap...OTOH maybe if I'd have waited a bit, I could have gotten it fr free...

  4. Great score!

  5. The question now is what to do with it? I've got some thoughts rolling around in the space where most people have a brain, but unfortunately I'm not that blessed. :(... Since I have a lot of spare time right now, I think I'll pull it apart for sanding/wire wheel/painting...chop the extended tongue off & stick a pintle hitch on it...while I'm cleaning it up...I'm gonna put some thought into using it as a platform for a tent.

  6. It was a nice day yesterday, so I got out the angle grinder, sawzall, drill, & chopped the tongue "extension" off to where it was welded on...the new Reese couplers side holes lined up almost perfectly with the original holes, so I tack welded it in place & drilled out the original mounting holes to better accept some grade 8 7/16"X1 bolts I found laying around. Decided against the pintle hook & went with the 2" ball instead. I could only get power to one line through the wiring that's on it now, so I scrounged around in the garage & found an extension plug & enough wire from projects past, to go ahead & get the lights working later today. The current plan is to just get it serviceable until later this spring when it warms up a little & I have more daylight to work with.

I'm taking some pics, but am having problems with the SD port on my computer so it may be a while before I can post any...
