ventilated windshield glass dimensions

I'm geting ready to take the vent w/s to the glass shop to have glass intalled. Does anyone have the dimensions or a template for the glass?

I realize that the shop could probably do it, but I'd like to give them a place to start..

If the glass shop has to guarantee it then I wouldn't suggest anything.

 

I'm almost at the same juncture with mine. Just need a few more bit pieces... Where did you get your glass seals from?

 

If by seal you meant the inner to outer seal, I got one from someone on the 3B page, one on ebay, and one a long time ago from George in Mississippi. In fact there is one for sale on ebay right now... Note that a 3B seal is the same as a cj5 seal, but somewhat longer. Seals for the 3B are cut longer, so that they will fit either windshield frame.

I'm using the three I have, or will be using the three on the vent windshields that I have in the shop.

I also have a web site that I saved in reference to inner-outer seals. Now I don't know why I saved that reference, but there was a reason to do so at the time I saved it. I'm guessing that somewhere in their system they sell a inner-outer gasket that will fit the jeep, but isn't specifically aimed at the jeep.

I haven't given any thought to the glass-inner seal. I expect the glass shop to provide that one...

 

Do you need a measurement for the actual glass? Is it a divided or one piece? I can measure mine as the glass is out. My glass shop told me to bring it in and they would do it. He showed me what they would use and I believe it some fort of black rubber or silicone stuff. He said he would apply it to the glass, frame, slide it together and wipe the excess. Once cured, the glass would be secure and water proof.

Let me know what measurement you need.....
