    I've got a '61 CJ6 with a PTO powered winch.
I need to remove the shaft that goes to it. At each end of the shaft is a u-joint that is held is place with a hex screw and key. I got the screws out but the u-joint will not break free. I've sprayed it with PB Blaster and tryed hitting with a hammer to loosen it up, Put no luck. Am I missing something. It looks like it should just slide off.

    Thanks,

    Frank

I'd say 46 years have taken their toll on it. You need heat, even a propane torch will do if you don't have access to a real set of torches. Get it good and hot, may take several cycles of heat and cooling. It'll come eventually.

X2, and add PB blaster when it's hot, (but don't light it on fire) mine was the same, took a few tries.
