Clutch Fork V6

    I'm looking for a new clutch fork for my T14 / 225 Jeep. The spring clip for the pivot ball broke. I'm finding a number of listings but nothing in stock. Does anyone have a good lead?

    Thanks for the leads. I did read some back threads but was running into dead links or out of stock items.
    I wonder about grafting a new spring onto my existing fork. Mine has some prongs which wrap around the end of the fork. I see newer ones lack that. I wonder if a new spring would be compatible with mine. IMG-20240121-WA0007.jpg

    Neither of those look right to me...Kaiser Willys lists one that is at least advertised as being correct for 225 Jeeps and the photo looks closer to what it should be.

    I would be very suspicious about the Crown one KW sells. There is known manufacturing defect where the spring clip is not centered. Been discussed here before.

    Thanks for the replies. My FLAPS can get one of the CF-100 forks tomorrow. I'm going to see if I can transfer the spring from that onto mine.
    KW doesn't have an add to cart button for theirs so I suspect it's not actually in stock.

    I got the CF-100 fork yesterday and no luck. I was hoping to harvest the spring but the distance between the fork and pivot ball is about 1/4" longer on that than my original.

    On to plan B, ordered a GM 12337938 spring.

    I also decided to roll the dice and order a ATP ZA-121 clutch fork. Depending on whose stock photo you believe it could be the correct item. They list late 60s Jeeps with a 225 as the application. Hopefully it's not a rebranded Omix part.

    I thought about that but then the curve of the spring would be in the wrong spot?

    The springs job is to hold the fork onto the pivot. If the new one does that without any binding, then the dimensions are irrelevant.
    If slightly grinding the spring to get to operate correctly, then you are still fine.
    I would insure the T/O bearing fits properly before grinding on anything.

    So after looking again at the CF-100 fork the spring did turn out to be basically the same as the old one. The shape of the fork itself was different enough that it was hard to tell. I attached that spring to my old fork and so far it works. I won't really know of course until a thousand miles down the road....
