I have a '67 CJ5 with an oddfire V6. Has anyone ever rebuilt them with new weights, springs and pins? The pivot pins for the weights are worn pretty bad on mine. If I hadn't already installed a new set of points, condenser and coil, in addition to a tune up, I would have gone ahead and done the HEI upgrade. Can the pivot pins even be replaced? How do I know what springs to get? HELP!!

I would use it as a core for a reman. They seem to be readily available.

Keep the new ignition parts when you turn in the core - the rebuilder won't care about getting your used points and condensor.

Track down a shop that still works on "distributor" cars. I made friends with a shop that works on old muscle cars. They had parts for my Delco and an actual distributor tester
