M38a1 Data Plate Question

Is this a common data plate on a M38A1 ? Wonder what a plant account means?

Ah, I see you have.

 

Where is this plate located on the vehicle?

As an aside, I'm seeing some blue paint under the chips.
Which service branch might have applied that?

(My M38A1 did a stint in the Civil Air Patrol, they used that shade of blue - over the original OD.)

 

This data plate was above and to the left of the original data plates on the passengers side.

 

I did a search and came up quickly with a description from Cherry Point MCAS. It's just an ID # for the piece of equipment. Apparently all vehicles, ampong other items, would have one.

Just bureaucratic bookkeeping stuff.
