Thanks. Can I assume that all the parts shown in that view of the Saturn unit are there in my Warn Unit? I only know of a few very minor differences between the two units, and those differences are in material used to make the parts.

As far as I understand, Yes. I don't have an OD but have done a fair amount of research. Advance Adapters aquired the engineering specs and tools to produce the Warn style OD after Warn ceased production.

As you mention, AA has replaced some of the original bronze parts (shift fork) with alumnium. Outside of that, the units should share dimensions.

Some users have replaced the alumnium forks with the bronze ones if they can be found as they seem to fail where the rolled pin holds the fork on the shaft. See this page for details.

Also found an original scanned OD install manual with great detail here

Hey Chuck, No problem. A copy of the manual would be great if you can dig it up. Send me an email with the total for the shipping, packing, insurance, etc and I'll get a check to you right away.

Re: Warn OD Exploded View (DOCUMENTS)

I received this Doc from a member of EarlyCJ.... Sorry I can't remember who....
It is a large document and may take some time to download but enjoy...

    WARN MANUAL
    http://www.myedocs.com/browsefiles/Jeep_Stuff/Jeep CJ OverDrive/Warn Overdrive/

And I ordered the Saturn manual and scanned it to my computer....
    HERE....
    SATURN MANUAL
    http://www.myedocs.com/browsefiles/Jeep_Stuff/Jeep CJ OverDrive/Saturn Overdrive/

I am still interested in all Jeep documents you guys want to share... If you have them in a format I can place on my server I would be more than happy to do so...

Thanks, but the second link wasn't working for me, maybe something on my end? The first one is great though.

oh yeah. all i get then is what is said on the left hand margin with the page numbers. it's alright. i'll ask a computer nerd at work if they can do it for me. If we can figure it out, I'll let you know how. Its a lot easier to be in the garage working on it without having to run up and look at the computer screen!

This should allow you to view each page by itself and print it...

perfect. this manual and the warn manual shown earlier should go into the tech section. This is very beneficial to anyone who owns an OD, whether you are rebuilding it or not. Also great info for someone who may be considering the purchase of an OD. Thanks a ton.
