What can be used to preserve the diaphrams on the heater box? Don't want them to dry rot. I was thinking of spraying a silicone into them. What has other people done?

Good question, Lee. I thought about that myself. I have extras from my two donor Jeeps just in case my quit working. I don't use my heater much so I don't worry about them. I park my Jeep in winter and ride my Sled. If you need one I would give one up, I have three or four extra.

I’ve rubbed silicone grease into old rubber motorcycle parts to soften them up and protect them. Read that on a bike restoration blog somewhere.
