Which year JEEP or Jeep??

    What year did they change the lettering on the front side of the cab from (JEEP) to (Jeep) and also what year was windshield washer offered?

    lettering changed in '72 to Jeep, then again in '74 to rounded letters.

    Windshield washer was before '70, Pete had it from the factory. Kinda funny about the lettering. Pete has JEEP on the fenders but Jeep on the tailgate. Did they ever make a tailgate w/ JEEP?:v6:

    The tailgate? I've seen Willys, Jeep, and some with nothing on them. Not sure about "JEEP" though.:?

    Also, what was the first year that the CJ's speedometer had "Unleaded Fuel Only" on them?

    I'm trying to narrow down the year on my CJ.

    No, JEEP never came on tailgates.

    Willys, [blank], Jeep in that order.

    I'll bet the unleaded fuel started in '75, The first year for catalytic converters on the CJ.
