    York specs for the compressor unit if the tag is still on it.
    XXCylinder Displacement
    10 = 10.3 ci (169 cc)
    09 = 8.69 ci (142 cc)
    06 = 6.10 ci (100 cc)

    Y Discharge Direction
    L = left side
    R = right side

    Why run it from the engine, put it under the floor and run it from the PTO, thats what I'm gonna do.

    sammy Coca-Cola?

    I actually thought of runnign it via PTO but then my winch would be spinning with the clutch in on the rear as well. Not what I'd like to do... Plus under hood is easier to access.
    I have so much to reply to in this thread, TONS of info! Thanks guys!

    Looks like FUN! And you fit this under the hood of a flattie correct? I'm running Vee belts. Where could I mount an alternator on a SBC with short water pump? Looking, I can run it mounted to the rams horn on the driver side...?

    For a number of years, I had the alternator mounted off the left head, but this is probably where you will likely want the PS pump and the steering shaft will also require space there. This is the bracket I am now using which mounts the alternator top right. I am pretty sure this will still clear a MB-3A hood.

    It puts the alternator as shown below (and also shows the rest of the York mounting). I was obviously still running a carb when these were taken.

    The 3 groove water pump pulley was a bit harder to find-junk yard item from unknown vehicle (Ford?) and required machining an adapter.

    nothing special or high priced. I bought from HD one of those round brass 4 port inlet,blowoff, pressure switch and outlet.all that is mounted to the 1 gal viar tank under the dash.[IMG]I then moved the gauge to the fender
