    Thanks!

I'm guessing it's not your truck based on your alliegence to the General :D! This is a small town....

No, I work on my own.
That's Sam the roofer's truck, in for a water pump.;)

That's what I figured! Still though, to recognize who's truck with only a small portion showing, in a town that you can hardly throw a rock in without hitting a full size Ford.....good eyes!!

Tub has been painted! The photos are from my cell phone, so my apologies! The color also looks a little different due to the fluorescent lights. I will get better photos the next time I head to the shop...

Here's a shot of the dash I sourced. Pretty much a replica of the original, except for the glovebox area...no "tabs" on the inside, so no place to mount the latch or box itself. Gonna have to figure something out...

Some more shots of the body...

Wow that is a beautiful paint job. Did you have a hand in it or did you have it done for you? The color looks great, I like the tinted bedliner interior. Do you know what brand it was? Anyway, it is looking great. I can't wait to see it together and running. It is going to be a nice Jeep. Have fun with it.

Thanks for the compliments! As for my involvement, I know better! Other than some help with the final disassembly, I farmed out the paint and body work. My hands aren't as dirty as I would like. The body shop is my cousins shop, so he put aside some insurance work to accommodate my project. Most of my involvement is with the grunt work. When I delivered the body to shop, I spent a couple of days completing the disassembly, scraping old silicone, etc. I'm refurbishing/repainting all the parts that aren't yellow, if that makes sense. The chassis, brackets, pedal assemblies, etc. I'm going to assemble the dash, etc. Other small stuff. The major stuff is being farmed out to those who know what they're doing! I'm going to help with as much of the assembly as I can, but I know what my liimitations are.

The liner is U-pol Raptor (Spelling?). It's basically a DIY product, if you have a compressor. It comes as a kit, with the product and gun. All you need is the compressor. The tinting came from some extra paint being mixed in. As far as the home DIY liner products, I think it's one of the best out there. However, having a truck bed lined with Line-X, nothing compares to that. This was about a third, maybe half of the price though. The underside is coated as well, but coated in black.

I thought it might be the raptor bedliner. I was thinking of using the same. I was also thinking about getting it tinted for the interior as well. I have had Linexed truck beds in the past as well and have found most do it yourself type bedliners lacking. I was hoping I would be able to tolerate the Raptor stuff as my budget is starting to get pretty tight on my project. Thanks for the info. Good luck with your project. It's good to see you know your limitations. I don't really have any mechanical limitations just money and time.

I know what you mean about budget! Jeep parts in general (not counting lockers, anything Currie or Dynatrac, etc.) aren't that expensive. But it adds up so quickly! A buck here, a buck there, next thing you know you're saying to yourself "what the hell just happened" while you attempt to justify it. Shipping has been killing me, and then 4WD Hardware started hitting me with sales tax, when they didn't used to in the past. That was an expensive lesson!! The Line-X wasn't only going to be much more expensive, it would have been a logistical nightmare. The nearest Line-X shop is 100 miles away, gas, time off work, coordinating with all the different players, etc. The Raptor was much easier, and cheaper to boot. Line-X would have been nice, but the Raptor came out pretty nice, so I think I should be happy with it!

The tub and hood got polished today, but the other body parts are still being blocked out. Project had to be set aside for a couple of days for incoming insurance work.

Also, gotta figure out how to mount the new glovebox and door to the flat dash....

    [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

Any ideas? Thinkng of cutting out a section of the old glovebox opening and mounting it to the backside of the aluminum dash, and using the old mounting tabs???
