I actually got the pump from a local race shop. I'm sure if you call either summit or jegs with the part #'s they shold be able to help you. ;)

We'll see, I've yet to hear from the guy except for the e-bey invoice. Hopefully he'll send a tracking # sometime.
I hate it when sellers don't reply.

For those looking for a frame mounted fuel pump, look on '86 - '89ish Ford f-series and rangers (+broncos and bronco II's). They're mounted almost directly under the leading edge of the seat inside the driver's side frame rail. Usually hidden behind a heat sheild so look carefully. Not sure about PSI. Ford's are multiport (if that matters to ya).

I too heard this.... I wrote Holley tech support looking for options for my Holley Dominator 4bbl intake for my oddfire. I was informed the projection will not work.

Let me know how it goes.

That's what they told me too. They just couldn't tell me why not. I spoke with a guy from Seattle a while back with an odd fire 231 that added pro-jection, he said it worked fine. So we'll see.

  6. msbweiland: You've got to remember that Holly designed these things for an EF. If someone put them on an OF and has problems, Holly may be liable--at least for a buy back. Like I said, I can see no reason why it would not work. Give it a try and let us know.

Well, I got it. Looks like I'm going to need a 4bbl intake. Them's some big openings! It won't pay to build an adapter, may as well go with a differant intake. Anyone have one they want to donate or sell?
I guess the 2bbl is going back on till I get a manifold.

I got a 4bbl manifold. Send the kit to me. I'll see if it works on my motor. :D

Want to get rid of it? Or make me an offer.

    LWB ..they call me "Cooter"

That set up is designed to work on a spread bore manifold. You can use a square bore with an adapter, though.

The OF won't effect it in any way.

I don't know if they got it to work. I did get info from Orange (on here a while back) and he sent me a writeup and pics for his Projection System 502-20S and he used the closed Loop Kit as well. He was going to drop the injectors from the 670 to 400 cfm but I didn't here any results.

pretty much all the efi threads are like this, I did not find one that went from start to finish for a gm tbi on a 225 oddfire ,,,,but I'm still searching the archives .MR. Warlock can you send over any info you have on that pro-jection set up.

PM me your E-Mail Addy and I will send what I have. I have purchased a TBI for a 4.3 that I am looking at for a basis of FI on the 225. I am looking at 3 things right now:
    MegaSquirt
    Holley Projection
    Powerjection III System.

They all have price pros and cons - but time and how well it works would be a factor too.

My timeframe is FI this Fall/Winter.

I do believe there are three of us on the board who are running megasquirt successfully with a 4.3 TBI. If you've got questions just fire. Took my jeep over the rubicon last year with the Ecj5 group and she purred like a kitten.

There's at least one success story for an odd-fire V6 on the MegaSquirt site: http://www.msruns.com/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=22428

For fuel control, you only need the basic 3.0 board, currently $187 in kit form. http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/...le-efi-system-pcb30-unassembled-kit-p-46.html You can buy the bare board too, but the board plus the parts to fully populate it cost as much as the kit.

With MegaSquirt, you can also mix and match components ... you don't have to use a GM throttle body, for example. Here's an example of MegaSquirt using the Ford CFI throttle body (cheap!) http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53524

I presume you could use the odd-fire HEI distributor and have the MegaSquirt board control the advance, with the module controlling the spark timing, thereby having spark control as well as fuel control. If you register on the MegaSquirt forums and ask, I'm sure that someone there can give you a definitive answer.

What's the angle separation on the odd fire 225/231?
