74 CJ5 Hardtop ? Will changing the windshield to 76+ allow for a 76+ hard top?

    I have heard that changing a 74cj5 windshield to a 76 or newer windshield will aloow for a direct fit for a hard top for cj5 76 and newer ? has anyone heard of this ? Also does anyone know where i can get some FULL METAL doors for my rig ? thanks for your time in advance.

    Also would changing the windshield to 76+ make me have to look for Full doors from 76+ ?

    The doors go with the top. That is, they'll only fit the top they came with, properly.

    But beyond that, yes the hinges change.

    Don't know of any source for metal doors other than from a Meyer Cab. No current aftermarket source AFAIK.

    Steel Meyer Cabs are out there if you want steel doors. They aren't that scarce.
