I know we've seen other pics of this style camper, and after searching the gallery, I didn't see this particular one. So, here is another pic of that camper that attaches to a 5. Found it in a May, 1969 Popular Mechanics mag. These things are just too cool.

Sparky, if you want to add this to the gallery, I have scanned a high res copy of it and can get it to you.

Cool :) I saw that ad in the gallery and I see there are now 2 of them for sale in the classifieds. That one looks to be in really good shape.

I added a link to my sig to my photobucket site where the high res versions are.

See the text in the ad, passengers ride in the coach. Remember when that was still legal? R)

Here's a couple of pics of the camper that's in the classifieds. Wish I had room for it (and a wife the understands the Jeep thing ;))

"Jeep plans unit price under $5000." Wow. Of course, $5000 in 1969 was a lot more than $5000 today....

Here's an article on these campers from the Magazine Wheel World, Vol 2, No 2 March 1970. Courtesy of jpflat2a.

note that the Jeep in this article has a half cab, soft top.
most of them are shown with half metal cabs. Thanks Joel, forgot you had that.

I think one (camper) can still be had in Lakeside, CA. It's stored behind an old lawnmower repair shop. FWIW
