front spindle nuts

    I don't think bending it to 90 degrees is needed. Just bend it enough that you KNOW the nut will not come loose. It's a judgement call. It gets much easier after you do it a few times.

    What I do is get it set up, then mark the washer with a marker, then take it out and put the washer in the vice and start the bend with a hammer. Put it back together and it's much easier to bend with the screwdriver. You could probably skip the setup and marker part.

    Every time I do this I can't help but think there must be a better way. Lockwashers, set screw, cotter pin, or something.

    spindle socket is well worth the cost. :)

    50 ft/lb is not real high, but hard to achieve with a chisel.
