Windshield Replacement

I have a new windshield replacement for my CJ but don't want to go through the hassle of installing it myself. What's a fair price to have it done by a professional? Would it be a good idea to replace the gasket at the same time?

I paid $50 labor, supplying all the materials and bringing it to them.

    I'd do the new gasket.

Mike - Any other materials needed besides the gasket?

BTW, what's a good source for the gasket?

No...IIRC the glass and gasket and you're good to go.

I'm sure all the usual suspects have the gaskets...can't remember where I got mine.

Thanks Mike! Just ordered a gasket set on eBay. Looks I'll be good to go as soon as it arrives. I've been storing an NOS windshield in its original wood crate for a while. It'll be good to get it out of the way.

bought my gasket at the place that cut my glass and installed it,they had it on a roll and sold it by the foot, new gasket makes the installation a whole lot eaiser,it is softer and more flexable

Don't think so but maybe. Came from a guy in Hays, KS. I think it was an eBay purchase.

have you measured the NOS glass for correct size ?

Nope. Caught me assuming that I bought one the correct size. I do recall the part numbers matching though. The box still has the manufacturer's tag on it. I'll measure everything before going further. Thanks for the heads up Jim.
