"Swiss Army" Jeeps

Ran across this on at G503, always interesting to see the differences in Jeeps that were produced for export. Check out the dash, the front bumper (what are all the little holes for), & tailgate.

Dunno they are evenly spaced though .......... maybe some sort of utilty attachment?

ETA: Swiss are one of the few that Ive read about that still use bicycles for mil use. 350 for a used condor seems a little high but it might just be me.

If that was an American market car or truck (Dodge or whatever) I'ld say those holes were for the rubber bumper protectection strips.

 

Since that Jeep was made for the Swiss Army maybe all the holes in the bumper are to pay homage to "Swiss Cheese"

 

Does a corkscrew pop out of the side?

 

The holes are for aerodynamics. Oh yeah. Just crank it up to 11 and let the F-head eat. R)

Don no bout the holes, but I would love a set of those tires!

X2, those are CJ5's, and $12,500 is a bit steep, given that you can get a fairly decently modified CJ5 for less. Complete American M38A1's don't even command that kind of price yet.

 

My cj5 is exactly the same as this. Its also swiss and ex military. Its the first time ive seen one so similar, dash panel the same and bumper and mirrors etc. Nice to see what it would have looked like originally. Its changed a bit now, had a lift, bigger tyres, changed seats, steering wheel and put a supertop on. Got the same holes in the bumper as well, but dont know what they are for. View attachment 15788

By the way i paid the equivilant to about 3500 dollars for mine, so i think 12500 is a bit steep.
