I am rebuilding a '46 CJ2A. I was going to put Dauntless V6 in it. I have V6 motor mounts welded in frame. I thought I read somewhere that I could use the stock Ross steering setup. I rebuilt/refurbished the stock steering setup, installed it and then tested the V6 engine fit. It won't work. The end of the drag link hits the bellhousing - can't make full left turn. Is there a simple fix for this? Are my only options a saginaw steering conversion or forget the V6 and stay with the original Go Devil 4 cylinder? Is there any way to make the stock steering work with the V6?

As I recall the V-6 drag link is a little different. It is longer but the one end is different to clear the bellhousing. I took a V-6 draglink and shortened it and had the correct front end for the 2A professionally welded to it. It worked very well. Now that I have a Saginaw set up this modified draglink is available if you want it.

If he hasn't gotten back with ya, you might want to send him a p.m. so that you know for sure he notices you are looking for it.
