Help With Id Of New Cj5

    I'm picking this up next week, I'm not sure on the year. It has a 0-9 speedo, battery box lid on cowling and looks to have shackles forward in front with a v6. I'm thinking early 60's with an engine swap.

    With the battery lid it's pre V-6 being original so your thought is correct.

    Could be 66 or later bottom end with 64 and earlier tub. Look at the frame pass side top area near rear spring shackle at front for number.

    The hood has a snorkel port in it, I think someone said that ended in 65, but someone may have changed it. You won't know until you get the Vin Numbers, and that could have been changed too. Looks good in the pictures though, Good Luck.
