    Hey all,

I am planning on ton of work on my frankenstein Jeep, so now i am asking this. This pedal set up is not working for me. Primarily the accelerator. I know they tried to make it stock in the past, but with not original motor setup this doesn't work. Plus for my big 13 shoes its a little tight. Anyone have ideas how they made it work for their situation? Plus any photos would be great!

    Thanks as always!

Can you move the brake pedal closer to the column? And the earlier V6 jeeps had a pedal that did not mount to the floor like this one.

looks like that would help...bend it over and back down?

Gas pedal looks stock, it's that brake pedal that's the problem.

Did someone do a hanging pedal conversion to it? It looks like the brake pedal is offset to the right side of the shaft. A fix would be to cut off the pad and reweld it on the left side of the shaft. (d) this, not this (b) That would give you more room around the accelerator.

Yes as they installed a brake booster/master cylinder from Japan. I believe they upgraded the brakes as well so could be 11”? Haven’t measured yet.

I agree sone thing has to give on space so moving the brake pedal as close to the column might be the best.

I also want to check out if I can do anything with the column too as it too has been Frankenstein‘d with a later GM one.

I used a pedal from a 84' Nissan Sentra. It also works with GM Throttle Cables. I like the design. It mounts to a flat vertical firewall.

Interesting idea how did you find one or search for it?

Worked at an autobody shop. They were rebuilding that 94'(Not 84') Sentra.
Sorry about the bad picture it's hard to see under there. Oh. Ignore the wiring. It's old 80's wiring I didn't use from the Buick Regel.

Are you using a regular jeep pedal and just the lever and mount from the other car type?
Can you post the pedal pic?

This is the pedal picture. Didn't get most of it. The bottom of the picture is the foot pedal part. The top is out of the picture. That is were the cable mounts. The horizontal bar at the top is the counter weight.

Sorry I was wondering about what the pedal part looked like and how it connected if it does to the body.

it looks similar style to the Lokar pedal I used. It connects to the firewall/toe board on a central pivot point and the cable attaches to the upper arm. The Lokar pedal uses a splined pivot shaft so you can switch the upper arm and pedal arms from side to side and vary the angle between them to match the configuration of your floor.

First thing I'd do as a quikie temp improvement is to modify that pedal from this
