I do not have pic. but I can get my hands on a cj commander for 300 dollars. It is need of body work , and a blown engine. If I get it it will put me in the dog house. I'm already doing the cj5 which I am almost done! LOL Any comments will be good! I have room in the garage and will be taking up both bays, but the wife will lose her Stuff.

Very cool. Worth a couple nights in the doghouse.

Jeepster Commando with a CJ front clip? Might be a '72 or 73 and very rusty. Would not interest me... post pics on the Jeepster forum here. To me it looks like a partster.

It is a friend of mine and he is giving it to me for free. It sat on a frame for year and then end up at my friends work place. All parts are there. Body needs a lot of work. The cj5 front clip true. It's free!

If it was offered to you for free, it would be rude not to take it

Take it, part it out. Save other Commandos, invest some time, make a few bucks - assuming your friend is not insulted by that and you can maintain domestic bliss. Cut it up quickly and she may go along with it.

Unlikely he will find a buyer that will put it back on the road again. JMO.

I want the challenge of trying to fix it to the way it was, and learn to weld on the way. It's going to be a family project with my children.

See, how can your wife be mad at that? I think it's a great idea, but keep in mind my wife is currently mad at me for dragging home more parts this last weekend

She might change her mind! I was going to move it in the garage and wait until my wife found out! It is easy to ask for forgiveness than permission! :poke:
