Putting the pieces back together on my '55 build. I really need to make a build thread for this... Anyway, please look at the pictures and let me know if it doesn't look right. From a top down view, it looks like the driveshaft is offset about 1" or so... Normal? 20180725_222522_resized.jpg

Looks good. But I certainly have questions about your living room shop space :D, nice floor, fridge and wine storage (y) wish my space was that nice.

I feel bad for that poor banjo if that isn't a climate controlled environment?

    Thanks, Tim and James.

Tim - I had searched for a thread on here instead of making my own but apparently my searching skills aren't as strong as yours.

James - I converted my garage into a man cave about 3 years before I decided to start a build - garage is hooked up to my house HVAC. I was planning on using the driveway but about a month ago I got a code compliance notification - right before I was ready to put everything back together. Gave me a week to move everything. I made 2 "french doors" that open to the driveway so besides no more theater and seating, I at least get to work in 70 degree weather in Texas in the summer and can easily pull the car out when I need more room to work.

The fridge is actually a kegerator, next to it is a humidor and to the right of that, not pictured, the wine fridge.

Since you all like the garage, here's some pictures before I had to move the jeep into it.

Thank yall for asking and responding to this question!
I could never figure out why everyone else seemed to have more room between their sm465 and their gas pedal than I did.
When I redid my mounts, I put the t-case perfectly in line with the diff yokes which made the transmission really crowd the pedal.
Time to re-do the mounts again! How many inches out of line is ok? 1"?

Mine currently is about 1" and from the replies here, that is fine. I plan on posting again once I get the engine set in to line everything up better. If there's any change I'm sure someone here can help!

Posted this in my build thread but this is where I am now. Notice the transmission crossmember in picture 1 under the body mount. Does the transmission look too far to the passenger side?

It’s possible to modify that crossmember to work. I fabricated my own out of 3” channel. Just couldn’t get the offset to line up. I centered the engine in the frame. On another note you may want to tape up the openings in the engine and trans before some mystery object finds it’s way in there. Build is looking good. Very clean.

Do you by chance have pictures or measurements on what you did for your fabrication?

Here's a picture of the driver's side crossmember location right now too.

I also had to add about 2 inches to one side of my transmission mount.
