Steering Shaft Tube

    Can anyone show me the parts and how they layout for the steering tube ? Can't make out the parts on the blurry FCM.

    I just can't compare all the parts I have to the diagram. Too much time had passed for memory lol

    I did but didn't put the horn on yet. Basically the bearing fits
    I did but didn't hook the horn up yet, what are u stuck on ?

    Here are the parts I have, I believe they are all for the steering. The bearing seat sits on the tube/column and every thing is stack on it. When everything is installed, the steering wheel is not engaging the splines. Below are pictures showing everything.

    That bearing is not like mine. Mine is recessed to accept the spring like a cup

    Shown upside down, it sits in the tube flush with the end and the spring sits in that

    That bearing and race in your pic Steve goes in the Ross box at either end of the worm. Hopefully that is an extra one, you need those at each end of the worm gear to support it.

    Took the one from the Jeep apart, so those are the parts. Got a Military surplus rebuilt one to replace it

    Excellent. If you get one of those bearings like John posted (Walck's has them), I'd suggest to take it apart when you get it and grease it. There is just a little retainer ring that holds the two halves together. They usually come with just a wee bit of light oil on them...or none at all.
