It's a old reman still in the box from the Dura-built engine company. The box says the golden heart line in big letters across the top of the box. The housing of the pump is aluminum.

Personally I wouldn't use an oil pump with an aluminum housing.

I did a little research on them and the aluminum pumps are late model F134s.

That's interesting, I wouldn't have ever guessed that.

I'll have to look in my parts manuals both civilian and military and see which one they came on.

Definitely cool factor there, can't deny that. You going to use it?

Yeah why not I think I can trust it more than a Omix-Ada pump. I'll have to post more pictures of the box the pump is supposed to have been tested already.

    I totally agree with that.

Tip of the Day - check the internals of the pressure relief.

I once used a NOS 'packed in cosmoline' pump on a M-715.

The relief valve was stuck shut, and it blew the oil filter right off the engine.
Did a nice job undercoating the engine compartment - and the wall of my shop, too.

The oil pressure relief valve was stuck on this pump. I found out when I mashed the accelerator and the oil pressure gauge pegged out at 80psi. I was able to free it up by tapping on the oil pump housing so now it has 45psi when the accelerator is fully mashed to the floor.

    Glad you figgered it out.

Thanks it has 13psi at idle when it is at 190 degrees. I can live with that because it's alot better than 3-4psi at idle.
