Need Autometer Fuel Gauge Help

I have upgraded my alternator to a 12SI 3 wire and also added a GM HEI ignition system. Which means I do not run a wire through a resistor. Everything gets a full 12 volts. Now what I do not understand is, I want to switch to a autometer fuel gauge under the dash. I read that a 1971 cj5 fuel sending unit is 73 - 10 ohms. So I need to get a fuel gauge with that same Ohms reading correct. Has anyone tried this and what did you need to do to make it work? I know I have a ground wire hooked up at the tank. Any help would be great.

    Thanks Julius

yeah, just make sure your sender and gauge read in the same ohms of resistance or it wont work or will burn up. I recall there being a couple different senders for my 77 cj5, so check which one you have.

Interesting, but has nothing to do with the fuel gauge.

Any of these should do the trick-
