Well, I didn't even know there was one for that. The whole thing looks too tall to me. Seems like only the lower portion would be needed. Isn't the L-head different?

I believe that is prolly for an L-head. Maybe it would fit an F-head. Never saw one on an F-head though.

BTW - I got an Omix air horn and it was a total POS. As was the rubber air hose.

I never saw one like that, didn't know that is correct....I make mine out of thick gasket material, seems to work fine....I have also put a layer of silicone on the gasket to seal it up,it is a F head.

Nothing seems to be listed for one in the parts manual, I just made one out of gasket material.

Walck's shows that as being for an L-head, as Pete summised it probably was.

    glenn it is a

L-head is just a straight clamp it tight fit. Doesn't have the flange like design like the F-head carb. Is that the CJ-5 with the L-head?

To clarify, is this an F-head or L-head?

55 with a L head  if I go over there tomorrow . I'll get a picture of it . didn't think too

  14. Op that's the gasket for the air horn to the wo carb on the L head

  15. I have a jeep with the Lhead and one with the F head. That gasket goes on the Lhead and I would NOT recommend buying it anything but NOS. I had bought one at walks and it was cracked and falling apart in a couple weeks. I then bought a nos one and it has been good for over a year and going strong.

The air horn gasket for the Fhead YF is simply a round flat normal paper gasket

Ya all said air horn. In my mind I pictured a pair of those long chrome jobs on a Semi.. Or for that extra oomph an even longer set on one of the diesel train engines.

My F-head just has a paper gasket on top of the carb, and the clamp squeezes the horn tight to it. It is hard to get it tight without the gasket.
