Just installed a digital msd ignition box and a new coil on my stock motor...I want to share with you all how much this small change dramatically improved the performance of my jeep.
On a cold morning the jeep used to go through stages of warming up, from a high idle to medium them finally once warm a low 700-800 rpm idle..if I didn't let my motor go through these stages it would stall and hesitate making a restart necessary...
NOW it starts and stays running at a low rpm all the time.....my acceleration is smooth with no flat spots and no hesitation even when cold....

Just thought some of you might appreciate knowing for about $250.00 you could breath new life in your old jeep...

I agree. Did it to my 304. I put mine on the passenger fender well.

Thanks for the report, I've been debating on which route to go for ignition. Which specific model # did you use for the box and coil?

"this small change dramatically improved the performance of my jeep."

Was the stock ignition in a good state of tune when you made the comparison?

I used an msd 6A ignition box and a msd blaster II coil

Yes my jeep is a daily driver and ran fine before this swap....now it runs even better......timing remained the same and carb wasn't touched..
