I saw a very old thread that I tracked down using Google Image search for a combination tach/dwell/timing light I am looking for, in any condition. I will pay good money for such an item if anyone still knows of one or still has one kicking around.

The thread I saw with the image of the meter I am trying to find was started by a chap that goes by 'timgr' . It was posted over 15 years ago on August 26, 2010!

I tried to sent a message to him but not sure it got through or that he saw it. He seems very active on this forum.

I am really interested in obtaining one of these. I believe it is a model 500(?) made by RAC. An image of this meter can be found at the bottom of that thread. I wish I could figure out how to link that here, but I found it by using the image of the meter on Google Image search and clicking on the link to the earlCJ5.com forum.

Nay help is really appreciated.

Here's the link to the post.

I thought I had thrown it out.
Nope, I still have it.
Pretty sure it's not fully functional.
What's special about this specific meter?

Solana Beach - nice area!
Very expensive today.
My great aunt and uncle used to live there...
I think it was at Seabright Lane and E Cliff street, with the back facing N Rios Street.
Their house is long gone, taken by two newer residences.

This post made me go look through my stash handed down to me from my 83 year old Dad. Original styrofoam still intact...I don't know the age, but I bet thay are oler than my 55 year old self.

Electrolytic capacitors age, on the shelf or in service.
Often you can find failures by inspection (leaks, bulging).
The electrolyte is corrosive and often causes secondary damage.
Common problem for old automotive ECUs.
Mechanical stuff is another common failure - connections, switches, broken solder joints.
