I am restoring a 75 CJ5 and came across this. Refurbishing the heater box I noticed a date of June 16 1975 on the back of the heater box. You would never see it because it’s against the firewall on the inside.
My Jeep was built in June 1975. The date makes sense. I’m guessing it’s the date the heater box was manufactured but I really don’t know. Anyone else ever see this? (I placed a piece of tape over it when I resprayed the back black.)
