Hard Top with Swing Out Sides

I saw the list of Jeep tops in this forum, but all the photos are gone.

I am wondering if anyone here currently has a steel hardtop with back panels that swing out like this one:

I am going to pick one up tomorrow.

The guy says it was manufactured by Kelly. The doors appear to be exactly the same as the doors on my Meyers hard top.

It also appears to be a deluxe cab with the small oval windows in the corner pieces. I am looking forward to seeing what it really is.
 
The top on the brown Late Jeep is not a Meyer AFAIK.
Maybe a fiberglass lid? Acme?
Look at the doors - no cranks, bigger glass.
I wonder how that would work - there's no room in the door for the glass.
The picture of just doors is definitely from a Meyer cab.
 
The doors shown are not the same as the ones on the brown jeep. It might be setup to allow the windows to drop out of place. When I built my hard top I wanted LARGE door and rear windows and made it so the door windows fit in a weather stripped channel that with Thumb knobs can be tightened up. The 1/4" Lexan windows once the tension on the channels is released will slide forward and out of the door (They are Suicide doors) and then store in channels inside of the side windows. A little bit of a PITA closed or open no inbetween. But we have found that if moving up to 75F the vent in the windshield and the rear vent in the top keeps it about right in the jeep and when it gets warmer we just stop and pull the windows.

I picked up the top today. It has a steel top which is flat in front, not rounded like meyers and not eyebrow like Kelly.

The doors are the exact same as my old meyer doors.

The rest of the parts are like this sears ad:

Except the corner pieces have rounded vertical windows in the back like my Meyers "Deluxe" top.

It may be a bit of a salad but it appears to all be factory work and engineered to work together. I suspect the doors might not match the rest in terms of manufacturer.

Seems like a clever design.

I would wedge a folded towel between the rollbar on the top in my old '69 to prevent that.

Did you make airplanes for Boeing? The countersunk aluminum fasteners and green polymid primer that went on airplane door boxes....
 
I have the top mostly installed. I am waiting for three keyed alike handles to finish up. It will be coming back off at some point for rust remediation and paint.

The good news is that everything is there and everything works.

The bad is that it has a little rust and a cracked fixed window.

I still don't know who made the roof and swing out panels... I think meyer-oroville via Sears. The rest of it looks like Meyers. I think the parts mix and match.

It's interesting that the roof is modular. The front is a flat panel and the rear corners are separate components. It seems like it would have been easy to make a half cab/cj5/cj6 top out of the same parts.

I have never seen a top like that, or one with white window seals.
It would be interesting to learn when this top was sold and more about the manufacturer.
Seems fairly certain that it's Meyer or a company that absorbed Meyer at some point, considering the doors.
The scrap CJ-6 top my Jeep came to me with has a one-piece lid - the split lid is new to my experience.
