Battery for 1974 258 6cyl

It has been a long time for me. I finally made the rotisserie for my cj. I should have all the parts I need from Classic Enterprises. The rolling chassis has been sitting outside under a tarp for a few years. I had the starter checked out. It is the original starter. I need to buy a battery to get the engine running again.

I know the battery group is 24. Farm and fleet has a 650 CCA available for $129. What is the minimum CCA needed for a CJ?

Walmart near me stocks a 24 - that's what I have in my CJ.
700 CCA is ca $150.
Works fine.
Fits in your factory battery tray.
There's a 24 and a 24 F.
Same size and shape and capacity.
The 24F reverses the connection polarity from the 24.

I think the higher CCA typically comes along with a better warranty.
They sell you more capacity along with the longer guarantee.
Worth it? Maybe.

The factory battery was probably 3 or 4 hundred amps.
