For Sale Meyer 1/2 cab with doors for early CJ5 - NOW $500!!

Meyer 1/2 cab from my new-to-me 1965 CJ5. First post from a new forum member here - please ask any questions and I'll do my best.

- steel 1/2 cab in nice shape (very minimal rust / a few spots - vehicle was in Arizona since new)
- steel doors with roll-up windows (not shown in vehicle photos but they are in good shape also)
- prior owner used a lot of caulk and put some undercoating on the lower pieces - the undercoating comes off with time and patience and WD-40 (have peeled some off but there is more to go)
- includes door straps/brackets and all associated hardware
- located in south florida (west palm beach area) - I am unable to ship so local pickup strongly preferred / slight chance I can coordinate a dropoff along the I-95 corridor at additional cost if no local interest.
- really want this to go to a good home/Jeep to be carefully enjoyed and preserved
- additional free bonus for buyer (if wanted) - a set of 5 "no-name" chrome 5-spoke wagon wheels - 4 of them have newer tires (Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner A/T 235/75-15) and the spare is an old firestone
- will also throw in if wanted - a "parts store" grant steering wheel and a repairable tailgate spare tire mount (cracked welds)

***I'm out of town until mid-August so pickup will have to wait until then***

- starting ask of $2,000 (wheels/tires included if wanted) and will lower the price progressively if it doesn't sell.

Hi - $2k is my starting ask for the complete cab + doors + wheels/tires. I'm less concerned about price than having it go to a good home - so I'll start lowering the price if (when) it doesn't sell (or feel free to make me an offer). I am away until mid-August so pickup will have to wait until then (it's located in S. Florida near west palm beach). Am having a really hard time getting pictures to load to these posts but am going to try a couple more here. Appreciate everyone's patience and interest. Thank you!

Mine was $50.00 15+ years ago, but needed a lot of work (without doors). This one looks to be in well above average condition. My guess that it was NOS at some point in the not too distant past. I think your location may be somewhat of a sales disadvantage but we wish you the best of luck. Very nice setup and less than half the weight of a full cab. Nice! Pete
 
Thanks all for the replies and thoughtful comments - very much appreciated. I figured that $2k was "optimistic" - and I'll start dropping the price (not back in town for another month so will probably wait a few weeks for that). And also figured that Florida isn't the best market for a hardtop - I may be driving up 95 to New Jersey at the end of the summer so if someone has interest a delivery/dropoff might be possible along 95.
It's a really nice top - almost no rust other than a couple small surface spots and very clean (other than the bedliner and caulk which is removable with patience and effort).
And not sure if anyone has interest in the wheels/tires - the wheels are no-name "parts store" but 4 of the 5 tires are recent.

why is it everything I'm looking for is at the end of the rainbow just like some stock 16" steel wheels offered in Massachusetts on this forum. just doesn't compute for a toothless rednekc in Montana.
 
Thanks again everyone - I'm back in town and am going to cut the asking price down to $1,000 for everything (the complete hardtop + doors AND the wheels and tires). Again, located in Florida in the West Palm Beach area.
 
Good luck with the sale, I'm not in a position to buy but I wish I was! I always wanted a half cab!
 
Ok everyone...end of summer clearance here - another big price drop to $500 (!!) and just look at everything that is included:
- the hard top
- the doors
- 5 wheels and tires (4 good tires / 1 really old one)
- a tailgate spare tire mount (**cracked weld**)
- a grant steering wheel
- a set of fender flares (the black plastic flares shown in the pictures - in decent shape / not perfect)
 
I’d be all over this if I didn’t live 1000’s (3500!) of miles away, and across the border. :cry:
