Haven't been on in a while, but
I lucked into a ridiculously good 71 CJ5. I got it from a guy who purchased it at an estate sale.
It was apparently in the middle of a frame off.
The body is dam near perfect except for a hole in the bed to allow for a PTO on the back of the OD to run something in the bed (If anyone wants a PTO OD adapter and the pto shifter shoot me a price)
I may have dented the ps front fender a little bit
I'm not familiar with working on a CJ that has no grease on it anywhere, this is way to good a CJ for what I'm used to working on.
In the " what is bad category", the motor is rebuilt, has never started, but the oil galleries (top end that I know of at this point) are plugged with hardened grease)
As of now, I'm breaking down the motor to get data
The point is, I'm not a frame-off guy. I've never worked on a Jeep this clean. speedo says 54,763
If any of ya'll or someone you know are looking for a 71 V-6 jeeportunity that is way more than 1/2 way done, I am open to selling it
Regareds
Shafe
Honestly, I don't have a price. The right guy will know what it's worth, it needs a number to fit within the rules, I'll go 9000 (neg) I don't expect 9
It really is that good
