F134 won’t start now

So I previously had my jeep running with a cheap Amazon soles knock off. The problem with that was that fuel would leak through the bolts that hold the bowl to the base. I’m not sure if I had too much fuel pressure? I do have a fuel regulator on it. I thought I could solve the problem by getting a low psi pump and a Daytona universal carb.

I installed the new pump and carb and it started right up and idling sounded great for about 30 seconds. After that it will not start. I think I flooded it because the plugs were fouled and smelled like gas. I let everything air out and dried the plugs. It still won’t start. I even put the old cheap Amazon carb back on and still won’t start. I haven’t checked for spark yet I forgot to say that I replaced the plugs and gaped them. Do you guys have any idea? This one is really kicking my butt

First verify spark.

Second what do the new carb instructions say about setup?

Third have you verified that fuel is now getting to the carb?

Spark, fuel, compression and are all components back in correctly as in rotor and wires/firing order if any service was done.

Yes, 2-3.5 low psi fuel pump.

It’s showing spark on the inline spark tester. I haven’t read the carburetor manual, I don’t even know if it came with one. Fuel is definitely getting to the carb and squirting in the bowl

Pull the spark plugs and check them for carbon fouling.

Carbs need two things. Pressure and flow. Not the same, check both to FSM spec.

So you seem to have purchased a knockoff of a Zenith/Rochester 228 carb. I personally know nothing about these, maybe someone else can help you with it.
