AFAIK the Jeepster/Commando got the same treatment as the CJs, a 5" longer front clip.
That would imply that tub is not substantively changed.
Pretty sure they got the GM steering column, which might change the dash and seating position.
Prior to that would be the same column type as the Wagoneer.
They could have moved the driver's seat position outboard whern they switched from Ross(?) to Saginaw.
I know that a pre-72 convertible top (the real convertible, not the roadster) will fit on a '72, BTDT; same body AFAIK.
Sorry I can't be more certain.
If you can look at the early tub, those are some areas to look at.
