I think that was an old school mod to put bigger brakes on a Jeep.

That looks like a 60's vintage Mustang/Fairlane steering box. It would be manual since those had a valve and cylinder on the linkage for power steering. The steering wheel is 67 Fairlane, so that matches up too.

Seems that they can be retrofitted with self adjusters. 11X2.. I KNOW they are a significant improvement over the stock jeep ones..
