2026 Rubicon Trip was a success. My son and nephew had a great time in this Jeep.
We had a set back with the fuel pump failing after a short time on the trail. I made the mistake of not packing a fuel pump. Rob had a new pump and Tim had the correct fuel fitting to make it all work. My original plan was to let the group go and deal with it as best as we could. The group was great and provided parts and support so we could continue on. We appreciated the support so much. I feel bad that they had to wait so long for us to get going again.
Only other issue was a leak from the front transfer case output that wasn't very bad. We had our spill kit and it made easy cleanup in the mornings.
YJ suspension and lockers worked great. Jeep wheeled along with only the occasional hanging up differentials on rocks. Aside from shining up some spots under the Jeep it came through mostly unscathed.
The trail, people and food made this trip a fantastic experience that was well worth all the hours of preparation.
Made it out to the Jeep to work on a few items. Put the new spare fuel pump put in the tool box. (Learning from my experiences.) Replaced the front drive output seal. Exhaust needed a bit of trimming for clearance.
Found a little damage on the side of the Jeep, Not dented but its not going to buff out. Rocker protection did its job. Some touch up paint and we are good to hit the trail again.
