Does anyone have a picture of a CJ3a with an artic top on it that is using the stock 3a frame? I jsut picked up and artic top with the arctic top frame but i want to use my 3a frame. Not gonna use the doors and the rear hatch will be unbolted so i have air flow

From look at both frames. The top has three studs that go through holes in the frame and bolt to it. I could drill the holes in the stock frame and the frame will be a bit angled compared to the vertical one. I couldnt use teh doors as well unless I make an adapter bracket but i wasnt going to use the doors with the factory frame. Doing the google fu it looks like it has been done but i cant find pics :(

Lots of photos on the net under M38 search FYI.

There is, but not with the factory cj3a windshield frame and the top.

As others have said, not used with original frame Dan.

I am just trying to find a picture of someone who tried, i know the original is the vertical but i am trying to see if it has been tried and with a picture proof

I'm sure it can be done. Perhaps you can work the overhang into a cool visor.

I think I misunderstood your question. You want the factory windshield at the factory angle with the arctic top placed on top? I’m not seeing how that would work without building some sort of filler, as the front lip of the arctic top is lower than the arched roof section where an angled windshield would align.

I can’t find my pictures without doing a DEEP dive through old hard drives, but mine probably wasn’t what you were after anyway. I just bolted my windshield to the arctic top in the vertical position.

Yes I am trying to see how it looks with the factory CJ3a windshield.
I know it will be angled just seeing if there is a pic out there of it being done or tried.
Holes need to be drilled in the windshield frame for the top to sit and i did not want to drill just for exploration.
