Fuel Tank Testing

Yeah I just snap a couple pics this morn.

As you can see they are not yet complete. I have to fabricate and fit my seat frames along with these dual tanks.
The tanks are 5” tall.
Same height as the floor riser.
Right about 10 gallons each.
14 gauge .075 same as the body tub.
The round hole at center between tanks is for access to the manual selector valve.
WOW! Last time I saw that body it was behind your garage. We stared at it for quite a while. Great job!

That’s good to know that 2 psi is sufficient.
In fact that’s why I am more inclined to use a rubber balloon.
Besides I can watch a balloon over a period of 24 hours.
I suspect even my digital psi gauge to be inaccurate at pressures below 5 psi.

You could also use a water column. Although 27 inches per psi may require a bit of tubing.

Yeah I once had a 15 gallon air compressor tank blow up right next to me right about 100 psi.
Not a scratch on me but what a bang that was when one whole side of the tank blew out.
Neighbors came running from far across the street
I think maybe that’s why I wanna rubber ballon on it.
