Wow for a rattle can that turned out great!! What brand of rattle can did you use Dave? I have never had much luck using them but yours looks like a body shop did it.
To be honest I am not really sure just what type of paint was on the blister. When mine was new it seemed like the paint was too dull for even sim-gloss and yet smoother and more glossy than flat black. I went through all my old pictures looking for one when it was new and good only find one that showed the blister good. This pic was taken about 4 months after I bought it. You can see that it shines almost as much and the decal.

I used Rust-Oleum. It was one of their premium varieties with the more precise nozzle. Thanks for the compliment. Thanks for your photo, too!
I've used paste wax on this paint several times in the last 20 years. I've waxed the stripes and blister at the same time. They all seem to create the same sheen, and that's what I'm used to seeing.
I will wax the paint again soon but skip the fresh blister paint.
