To be honest I am not really sure just what type of paint was on the blister. When mine was new it seemed like the paint was too dull for even sim-gloss and yet smoother and more glossy than flat black. I went through all my old pictures looking for one when it was new and good only find one that showed the blister good. This pic was taken about 4 months after I bought it. You can see that it shines almost as much and the decal.

I used Rust-Oleum. It was one of their premium varieties with the more precise nozzle. Thanks for the compliment. Thanks for your photo, too!
I've used paste wax on this paint several times in the last 20 years. I've waxed the stripes and blister at the same time. They all seem to create the same sheen, and that's what I'm used to seeing.
I will wax the paint again soon but skip the fresh blister paint.

Went to drive the A1's Thursday. 53 cranked and ran well. Took a few hot laps. Horn works great now!
64, nothing! Looked and the blackout light was left on. Both batteries were dead. So low the Norco 24V charger couldn't even see them.
Had to separate the batteries and put chargers on them. Finally, at 7.2 amps the Norco has moved to 50%. Wahoo! Stayed on 25% for hours and hours.
Batteries are fairly new AGM's, so I think they'll be OK. Got to check that light switch when I park it.
I will go back out to the shop and check them after dark to see how they are charging.

You could put a quick disconnect terminal on the negative post. Ya it’s a bit of a nuisance to have to hook/unhook every time, but no worries for a draw on the battery or maybe even a possible short causing a fire.
 
I was thinking about a disconnect on the negative post today. Charged both batteries individually and tried to crank the Jeep. Just a click. Put the 24V charger on both batteries and it charged them. Cranked and ran fine. Made about four laps around the neighborhood. Brought it back, cut it off and it cranked.
The batteries were too low for the 24V charger to even recognize them.

Thinking a disconnect is a great idea! I might hide a disconnect with a key like on the CAT equipment I used to work on.

I found an old Bellview last summer and finally got all the pieces together to get it mounted up. No plaz so I gas axed and grindered all the cuts I got the old KC 6" lights at the Moonshiner's Swap Meet a couple years ago. Still need to run all the wiring and winch operation cables, but it took a while just to get it this far.

Are the flanges on the bumper in place? Is there a flange on the bottom of the winch mount? My mounting plate went behind the bumper and i squeezed the winch in front of the grill.
