I'm about to pull the trigger on these tires in 7.00 R 15. They're tall, skinny and have that retro tread pattern I like. But I'd like to hear from someone who runs them. I've seen them mentioned in the forum but I don't see anyone running them. Other forums for other vehicles have some brief reviews and they seem to like them except for the noise. I'm not worried about noise with the CJ5. Most of my driving will be local on road with some light off road use. I'm not going to rock crawling or swamping. So, any opinions?

What size rims do you have? I'd be interested in getting a set as well if they would fit on my stock 15x6 rims. I've been looking for a retro tread tire that's skinny enough not to interfere with the side-mounted spare. Now if only they were whitewalls :)

7.00-15 would be a perfect fit for a 6" rim.

Thanks Matt, I looked at the specs on Yokohama's website and thought they would fit but just wanted a second opinion.

I'm planning to put them on 5.5x15 stock rims. It's one of the few tires I've found that is spec'ed for that rim. I believe wider tires would work but the manufacturers are pretty conservative with their fitments. They'd work fine for your rim.

Here's the link for the specs from Yokohama.

    Nice find!

I've run Yokohama Geolandar MTs on a bunch of my Jeeps and if they are any indication, you should be happy with those tires.

http://www.kellytires.com/cfmx/web/k...fm?product=349 they don't seem to be "as" aggressive as true offroad but they keep the look biggest they have are 235/75 15. But I do like the look of the Yokos

You could use "Portawalls" They'll give you the look and will give the tire installation guy's great entertainment. I remember these as a kid, they didn't look too bad on the right tire. Knobbies, I don't know.

Hay Atroesch There's your whitewalls. Wonder how old they are, dry rot? Shipping them is pretty easy, they just tape a label to them. Even UPS can't hurt them.

Mr. Arse, where are you on LI. I used to live in Wantagh.

I did a quick Google search on Atlas Weathergard, aince that's what the tires say. The only thing a came up with were some ads from 1969-1971 si I'd say they're about forty years old. I also looked at the Kelly Wintermark tires but it looks like they only come as 235s and I want something skinnier.
