That's a great job idea~ she's only 12, but we've been brain storming of what kind of job she may like several years from now~ All she's interested in right now is making slime!

Dne, I think you mentioned the other day that you wanted hood louvers....

Check out desert runner's jeep. He posted yesterday in the "what did you do to your jeep today" thread. Blue one, gorgeous, can't miss it.

    Any updates on your project?

You are so thoughtful! :bananatool: I haven't done a thing since our 12 y/0 grandaughter had been here, she goes back to Palacious tomorrow:(

We had a great time, worked on making her an Owl house, she did participate~ quality time instead of sitting at a TV all day(are they still called TVs:whistle:?) however we still watched some of her "cartoons"~ can't tell you the name of one of them! lol
    [IMG]

Then we got busy with a Bat house;) I'll travel to here little town soon to install these

I had my brother Robo to tow his '62 over so I could take Rhea for a drive it in, she really enjoyed the ride!! I still have his jeep here to work on a Bikini top for it, I'll be posting on his build soon.

As for my '68, it's still pretty much in the same place that I left it, but did install more LED lighting where I'll be painting, but it's still incredibly hot n humid, so I may just piddle with other things~
ok, Gary's bugging me to watch TV

It might, but the hoods grew 4" longer starting in 72. You could always order the louvers and see if you can make them work.

If you decide to go with the louvers, mark out the location of your alternator, air cleaner and distributor. These are things you'd rather not have rained on. I cut out the whole pattern and now wish I hadn't. Good luck, Ron

OK, asking another question here, still have family visiting, so nothing going on. I was going to pain the grill, but then they showed up:( lol

I've posed the question to Ryan (ITLKSEZ), but I thought I read somewhere that a larger glass/frame can be installed. I have to buy glass and other parts anyway, just shopping;)

The larger window started mid 1970. My '71 has it and my '69 does not:

Having both side-by-side, the bigger window is MUCH nicer.

I got to paint a little bit today, HOT and in my "paint suit", really hot, I probably lost a few pounds of water weight! My new contact lens's really helped vs my tri-focals glasses. The mask I'm wearing could almost be used as a scuba mask~ not really;)

I had just enough black and matte clear from my brothers jeep to do my grill, the rest of course is shiny.

I love this color and the paint itself~ Shopline Sublime green 2 stage/ was a little tricky painting the grill.

I'm very pleased with the turnout of the grill

Of course I painted both sides, the underneath I'd like to look great too:D

I have the tub in its place for tomorrow to hopefully finish up body work~ and perhaps get a coat of epoxy on it to paint the following day. Weather has been stupid lately. I'll be piping my fresh air breathing machine for the tub paint~ that will be a lot of paint;)

I wasn't so sure about the sublime lime, but that looks EPIC! Looking forward to seeing it all painted!

Got a little more serious with my paint supplies~ just wanted to at least look organized;)

I could use both Accuspray guns (one at a time of course) if I have too
    [IMG]

The rotisserie was fantastic, the heat was crazy, but luckily there was a breeze and my large fans going as well. I have to say I was just plain miserable, even my fresh air breathing air from an air conditioned area was hot, seemed hot. I good bath soothed my misery:D

I could spend the next several months and may have it perfect, but I said enough is enough and just have to live with a few little defects~ shoot the darned thing already!

I'm hoping tomorrow to shoot the Sublime, then in the evening the clear coat.:D I'm anxious to get this part over with:shock:

Hi! I'm taking a little Root beer break~ I'll be putting the clear on starting at around 4:00~ there is a dry breeze which is nice, but I'll tell ya, my right arm is beginning to feel the weight of the spray gun. Haven't sprayed this much in a while and clear is not so forgiving.
I'm just going to put one good clear coat on the bottom, then tackle the tub inside working outward.
The black I want to be matte, so I may just have to shoot a little clear on the edges and tape it off tomorrow to matte the black.
