Good thought. Thanks I will do that.
Traveling today, but it's a good day for the 70 to get new shoes. 31 x 10.5 with some bite. White rims!
Backed her out to bake in the sun. Letting it cure then maybe buff it a bit to try and get more shine then to put it all back together again
this is a rattle can job?!!!?!?
Thanks guys! Yes it’s all spray paint, first time ever painting a vehicle.
How is your trigger finger?
Lol! It’s sore! I got one of those Rustoleum spray paint guns and it works great for awhile then the paint builds up on the tip and drips... so that wasn’t used very long.
Where's your build thread?
How many cans to paint a CJ5?
9 cans base and 9 cans clear gave me 3 coats of base color and 3 coats of clear
I guess I never thought I’d be doing anything worthwhile to start a build thread but I guess I should!
Had to change the Lt fr wheel bearing on the blue one. Been hearing a noise lately but could not hear well enough to know where it was. Near 40 yrs of heavy eq has taken a heavy toll on my hearing, so I got the wife to ride with me a few days ago and she pointed to the Left front wheel. Got my parts from RA yesterday. I've had some problems with the starter also lately so I took care of that problem while I had it in the air. Sorry no pics.
So fellas here it is, my rattle can paint job. Buffed and waxed. I am working on starting a build thread but that may take a little while so I figured I’d share the end result here. Tomorrow I’ll mount the rear bumper back up and finish up a few odds and ends. So what did I do to my Jeep today? Put her in the sun and enjoyed the new look
I also painted my fire extinguisher so it would blend in a bit
Rattle can or not, it looks good!
Don't spill any lacquer thinner on it. DAMHIK! ( That means "don't ask me how I know," not "Damn Hick" by the way)
Those are good pictures too!
