Tried to get tags yesterday. The puter won't let the guy enter it for regular tags ( 71 years young, whatever) he had to take it to the mva.
All day long kneeling under hides, me and Geoffreyl. Checked the phone endlessly. No calls no tags no mini afternoon color tour....

Took out the 47 jets and re-installed the 51 jets after my Colorado trip.
Repaired the turn signals which had quit during the trip......bad wire connection at turn signal switch pigtail.
Toy around with a center vent install on my M38 windshield frame.
Crawled underneath and put a wrench on 95% of the suspension nuts and bolts, u-bolts etc.
Gave the entire drivetrain a fresh shot of chassis lube.
    Preparing for winter desert season.
May take to desert for deer season in November.

Not today, but on Wednesday I took one of my grandsons on a ride in the CJ6. He loves Jeeps and usually just gets to stand in the front seat and play with the knobs and such. I got a car seat in the Jeep and took him for a ride. His mom took some pictures and a couple of real short videos. I put them together here.

Farm Jeep Willy towed the new camper about 3 hours away to Cheese quake State Park in New Jersey. My wife wanted to go to the beach tomorrow for the day, back home tomorrow evening.

In advance of next weeks camping trip to the Smokies I put on the soft top and doors. Hopefully we will not need any of that but I’m more worried about a rain storm than anything else.

Tore the AMC 20 rear axle down on the CJ. One of the previous owners apparently did me a favor and put one piece axles in it at some point. Got a good chunk of the work done. Got the carrier bearings removed and new ones put on along with the ring gear. Got the old pinion races out. Tomorrow I will start going back the other way. Not looking forward to setting up the pinion depth. The original setup used a large shim under the bearing race. All of the rebuild kits come with shims that go under bearing cone. And none of them are of similar size to the original shim.

I really like this griddle. 1 whole lb. bacon at a time. Not really a Jeep addition, but towed by the Jeep addition. Resized_20201010_081629(1).jpeg

Sent an email to Fitech, my logging function is not working correctly, I only get between 13 and 34 lines of data, all showing the engine at idle, after a 20 minute ride :censored:

In the mean time I backed the Jeep out of the garage for easier access to my tools so I can break them trying to get the ball joints changed on the Escalade, while staring at the Roadmaster with it's new Opti Spark that needs road testing to see if it will continue to run or is it going to the crusher :banghead:

    Just another day in paradise:coffee:

Broke the law again...3 more miles on the odometer. Hey I tried to get tags, mva wouldn't cooperate.
Low range and 4 wheel drive work great. Tires now at 26lbs, feeling pretty good had it up to 40 steadily.

The power steering pump reservoir sprung a leak this week. I think this one’s been reconditioned a few times. I put some JB Weld on the offensive part. Fingers crossed it works for a while.

Considered bolting it under the drawbar, but was afraid of low clearance.
