    Anyone here using a Vega Power Steering Box instead of the Sag box?

    I would think it would be a quicker ratio box since it came from a smaller/short wheelbase. But I'm just guessing.

    Might be. A Jeeper mentioned it to me today and I'm curious about the swap. They are a little shorter in length.

    The Vega steering box is a Saginaw box. The turning ratio is 4:1. The box was used in several GM vehicles as well as American Motors, Jeep and International.

    Thanks for the reply, are they shorter? Some guys say the case is made of aluminum?

    The oem steering box is cast iron. I think the length is about 11 inches.
