    This may be my last contribution to this thread for a week or three. What I'm doing next is going to take some serious manhours to figure out and get right.

    Since my cage and air intake is taking up the real estate where the swinging pedal assembly would go, and the radius arm and cage outrigger is where the factory pedals were, I have one option left.

    Once you cut the brace out from behind the floorboard, there is a ton of unused space in there.

    Plenty of room for a brake booster and MC.

    I'll be using this unit from the same car the engine came from. It had massive 4 wheel discs, so stopping power should be proper and abundant.

    I'll be making a pedal box that is recessed into the floor. The tricky part is that the pedal pads will be nowhere near aligned with the brake plunger and clutch cable, so some funky offsets are in order.

    Ok, so this has been going much more smoothly that I'd anticipated.

    This is fantastic work as usual. I've been really busy but I have to check in on the Varg progress for inspiration. I can't even find time to work on bolt on power steering. Keep us all inspired.

    Looks like that is going to make the steering column quite a challenge. Can't wait to see how you tackle that!

    You noticed that, huh? :oops::confused:
    I have a 3 sq inch hole to fit the shaft through at a precise angle. I'm going to do everything in my power to not cut the dash for a better angle.

    Would this setup be called "inverted swing pedals"?

    Pedal box is complete, as is the brake linkage arm and clutch cable arm (that sticks down below the floor on the far left). Pedals are next.

    That's the first time I've seen sway bar links run through the coil springs, that's very creative. I'm curious about a couple of things. Are you certain the sway bar won't hit the hood when you have the suspension crossed up? Are you going to run a bump stop? Why not use coilovers and save some real estate plus get increased tuneability and potentially longer travel (its not guaranteed, separate coil and shock suspensions can work very well)?

    Your build is coming along nicely, and you are definitely fitting 10 pounds of gold in a 5 pound sack.

    I have a similar clearance issue with the headlight buckets. I originally had standard Hella H4 bulbs in them and it interfered with the radiator positioning. I found a set of slim mount LED headlights on Amazon and have them on order. They don't have the classic look, but they'll solve my clearance issue. The other option I was looking at was having a set of spacers machined to pull the entire headlight bucket out 1 inch. It'd look a little bug eyed, but might let you keep a standard glass head lamp.
