Vacuum Modulator Question

Does anyone know if a vacuum modulator off an AMC TH400 can be swapped onto a GM TH400. I am planning on running a Chevy TH400 on my 75 CJ6. The front driveshaft is going to be close to the side of the transmission as it is, but the GM modulator points straight out, toward the driveshaft. I saw on an AMC TH400 that the modulator has a big fitting that angles the canister part of the modulator up at an angle. The AMC one is much bigger than the GM one but looks like it would clear. Are they the same thing as far as what they connect to inside the transmission?

Either modulator interchages. Some of the later TH400 modulators are even smaller. I believe the AMC version was raised and angled to clear the driveshaft.

Thanks guys. I will see how it works out. The amc one is covered in gunk and I am not sure if it is functional yet.

That's the one Timgr. I pulled it off my junky AMC TH400. Hopefully it will function on my GMTH400.
