    Hi...

Before I start tearing stuff apart, any suggestion on simple things to check for a vacuum wiper that suddenly stop working?

The driver side wiper use to work about two weeks ago, if I pull the activation button out, it stays in park mode, you can actually feel the pressure holding it up in the park position + it won't turn by hand. If I push the button close, you can move the wiper by hand through its full range of motion. I also unplug the vacuum line and I have plenty of vacuum + the passenger wiper still work fine on the same line.

    Any idea will be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Pierre

There's a number of web pages devoted to vacuum wiper repair-

    https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=vaccum+wiper+repair

Have a look & pay particular attention to the ATF trick.

I'm guessing one of the internal vacuum ports has become plugged, or maybe the mechanical flip-flop that activates the valve rods has somehow got stuck. If you can't fix it give Ficken a call-

I just bought two new ones from them for only a bit more than it would have cost to have mine rebuilt, if indeed they were re-buildable.

    Thanks,

Will try the ATF trick first - if that doesn't work then its teardown time
