the time has come to start my build. student loans are coming in and we finally have a house with lots of space.
first, i am throwing a hp d44 in the front. i have a waggy with discs now and will be using the outter everything (except shafts). i also wanna use the disk conversion for the rear.
i know i have to replace the brake lines, but does anyone know of a brake booster thatll fit a 71?

    more to come...

You'll have to convert to a hanging pedal setup.

how would i do a hydraulic clutch swap? i know they make em as a cylinder to push the clutch lever and it uses a cherokee reservoir, but how does the pedal work?

look at the Roxor thread for a pretty straight forward hanging brake pedal swap. new parts, no more scrounging, buy the assembly, and install...

The above is probably the easiest but I used a late 80's Cherokee power booster and the pedal that came with it. I made a custom bracket for the pedal. I was also able to keep the through the floor clutch set up. The pedal takes a little getting used to but works great for me.

When I did the drop pedal, PB conversion on my 47 cj2a, I used an early 90's Cherokee pedal assembly and booster. Then used a Wilwood 3/4 inch clutch hydraulic assembly for the clutch. Worked like a charm. I'm also converting my 63 cj6 in the same way. Had disc in front and 11 inch commando rear drum brakes with emergency brake cables. Also used the same Cherokee emergency brake handle on the floor. Was a great set up. I also had a 4.3 vortec under the hood, so you should have plenty of room.
